Baked Loaded Fries

I've made this dinner before and wanted to recreate it again for friends who came over to hang out. We had some leftover nacho cheese already but this recipe can be made without that. It's another recipe that can be made using 5 ingredients or less, assuming you've already got salt and pepper. This would also make a perfect game day recipe, if you made a whole batch of fries and served the toppings buffet style for people to create their own "Frachos," nacho fries.

Baked Loaded Fries
Ingredients
  • 2-3 potatoes per person, peeled and sliced into wedges
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese or cheddar
  • 8 slices of bacon, cooked and cut into pieces
  • 1/4 cup green onions or chives, thinly sliced
  • sour cream (optional)
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. In a large bowl, toss potato wedges with the olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  3. Arrange wedges in a single layer on a foil-lined baking sheet.
  4. Bake until fries are golden on the outside and cooked through, turning them halfway. About 40 minutes.
  5. Remove from oven. Divide fries into separate plates or bowls, then top with shredded cheese, bacon bits, green onions or chives, and sour cream.
  6. Serve immediately while hot.
